PRINCIPLES
The National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Amendment Act 2000 (Private Sector) apply to Bond Medical Recruitment. These principles exist to ensure that our business respects an individual's rights to privacy, which will include the protection of all their information in their dealings
with Bond Medical Recruitment, whether as a client or as a candidate.
Bond Medical Recruitment is fully committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles and will comply, to the best of our ability, to any laws, which are applicable to our business in relation to our staff, clients and candidates privacy.
The TEN National Privacy Principles relate to Personal Information and as they refer to our business, are as follows:

10. Sensitive Information “Personal Information” is information that identifies an individual, or is information from which an individual's identity can be ascertained. Name, address and telephone numbers are examples of personal information. PRINCIPLE 1: COLLECTION
Personal information will be collected by Bond Medical Recruitment for the purpose of conducting business and will normally fall into the following categories:
1. Candidate Information
2. Client information
In line with our range of services, Bond Medical Recruitment will only hold personal information on our candidates and clients for the purposes of the placement of staff into temporary, contract or permanent positions through our recruitment services or customer and client relationship management
and business development purposes.
PRINCIPLE 2: USE AND DISCLOSURE
We may use and disclose candidate and client personal information only for the purposes for which it is primarily held. Personal information may only be disclosed with the permission from the person the information is about.
PRINCIPLE 3: DATA QUALITY
Bond Medical Recruitment will endeavour to keep candidate and client personal information up to date.
PRINCIPLE 4: DATA SECURITY
Candidate and client personal information is stored in hard copy and/or electronically. Bond Medical Recruitment has security procedures in place to ensure all personal information is protected. Our internal standards for the protection of Personal Information can include measures such as:
- Storing personal information in filing cabinets or enclosed filing systems.
- Having a clean desk policy.
- Ensuring information is in an enclosed folder.
- Having individual staff computer passwords securing each workstation.
PRINCIPLE 5: OPENNESS
Bond Medical Recruitment manages carefully the personal information we hold in our property. All information is relevant to our business specialisation and would normally include information such as name, address, phone and contact details, family information (if offered on resume), education
and qualifications, employment history and referees.
GAINING ACCESS TO INFORMATION
Individuals can gain access to the personal information Bond Medical Recruitment holds about them by sending in a written request. A request for access to the personal information Bond Medical Recruitment hold about a candidate should be forward to:

We will deal with any requests to provide information within a reasonable time. We may seek payment for our costs of supplying individuals with this information.
PRINCIPLE 6: ACCESS AND CORRECTION
Bond Medical Recruitment will work in conjunction with both clients and candidates to ensure that the information we keep in our records is correct and up to date. Where there may be a difference of opinion as to the accuracy of the records, Bond Medical Recruitment will make changes to that
information in line with the principles.
PRINCIPLE 7: IDENTIFIERS
Bond Medical Recruitment will only use identifiers in line with the manner in which they were intended for use.
PRINCIPLE 8: ANONYMITY
Bond Medical Recruitment will allow individuals the option to operate autonomously. This will at be the discretion of the individual.
PRINCIPLE 9: TRANSBORDER DATA FLOWS
Bond Medical Recruitment does not normally have the requirement to forward or release personal information outside of Australia. Should this be required, Bond Medical Recruitment will only release information with the permission of the individual.
PRINCIPLE 10: SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Examples of "Sensitive Information" are racial or ethnic origin, politics, religious beliefs or affiliations, union memberships, criminal history, sexual preferences or health information. Bond Medical Recruitment does not, in the course of our normal business, require holding any information
that would be considered "Sensitive Information".
On occasion, at the request of a client, it may be required to gain sensitive information as part of a police check etc. Any sensitive information will be held on file and is able to be accessed in the same manner as personal information. |
